The first thing to note about this Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is that it is completely unrelated to the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga and anime series. Despite the app name and its logo, it’s actually a player guide for MapleStory and its spinoffs, like MapleStory M. The Demon Slayer is a Strength-based character class that uses a variety of melee weapons.
For the app, its layout and interaction scream low production value. Once you log into the app, you are treated to screens of guide after guide, which contains character background and job level builds. Unfortunately, there’s not much interaction available but to scroll down or move to the next page. It has no videos or even background music to make the game enjoyable.
Aside from the KNY misrepresentation, another major issue with the app is that it doesn’t offer anything else. It lacks interactivity and content. It only covers the Demon Slayer class, one of about 29 character classes playable in the game. The information it offers is also available on various online forums and even on the MapleStory wiki, and switching between the app and the game makes it troublesome.
